Why a bison?
The bison is the state animal of Kansas, and the national mammal of the United States.
Bison are extremely strong and powerful, but were once driven to the edge of extinction. Since then the population has seen an incredible resurgence in the face of adversity. They also have a strong social bond within their herds.
As a powerful symbol showcasing the resilience of the Great Plains region and our history, we felt it was the natural choice to pick the bison to represent Great Plains Barbell and the values above that we want to instill in our athletes and community.
